About this tool
Drop two or more PDFs, put them in order with the arrows, and merge them into one file. Each file can contribute all of its pages or just some — enter 1-3, 7 next to it — so the same tool extracts and reorders pages from a single document. An optional title is written into the merged file’s properties. Form fields, links and annotations that live on a page travel with it; the output is a fresh, cleanly written PDF rather than an appended one.
The reason to do this here rather than on the first search result: the PDFs people merge are contracts, passports, tax returns and medical records, and every “merge PDF online” site uploads them to a server before combining them, with a retention policy you have to take on trust. This page copies the pages into a new document inside your browser, in a background worker so the page stays responsive on large files. Nothing is transmitted, stored or logged — there is no server to send it to.
Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged without the password; unlock them first (printing to a new PDF works). Document-level bookmarks and attachments are not carried across, because they belong to the source document rather than to a page.
